Dates 4/08/15 - 6/03/15

Times 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Gain a foundation in the basics of this versatile instrument by learning to play American folk songs. Building from week to week, we’ll cover the fundamentals of holding, tuning, and playing the guitar. The emphasis is on playing and singing the songs (even if it is just for yourself) and developing a repertoire. Whether you’re just learning or returning after a break, this course will help you build the skills for playing on your own or with others. Bring a guitar along with a folder, and a pen or a pencil. A $10 materials fee, for a CD of songs, is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. Handouts will be provided.
